I know that what I’m about to write might bring down the
wrath of many on me, because of what I’m about to say. It is not my intent to hurt anyone or to
disgrace the dead. I just want to write
what is on my heart!
I would begin by saying the death of anyone is a terrible
thing and Robin Williams is no different.
All death is sad! I was reminded
by a friend concerning those in Iraq
that are suffering and the brutal death many of these are facing. Children beheaded, mothers raped some killed
and men slaughtered! To know that most
of these are Christians makes it even sadder to me.
Where are the cameras?
Where are the news agencies?
Where is the cry of Christians?
Where are the stories of the lives of the children or the mothers? They are blotted out by the death of a
comic! A comic that spent much of his
career mocking GOD, blaspheming His Son and laughing about a place called Hell.
Why are we so broken up about a man that hated God (I say
this after watching some of his acts) but not for those that are our brothers,
sisters and the children Jesus said were His own? Because he made us laugh? That sounds like the flesh to me!
I enjoyed the times I watched Robin Williams and laughed as
many did. But the day I saw him mock my
Savior, I watched no longer, and had no more laughter for him. I know there are many well meaning believers
out there that possibly didn’t know this about the funny man and I’m not
condemning you.
I pray that Robin Williams came to Jesus before he put
himself to death or the Hell he made fun has become a reality!
Two things I would like to say to you. Put the proper priorities in front and never
mock God! Judas missed the mark on both issues,
and he went out and hanged himself! Matthew 27:5
