In His Hand

I have lost something precious,

And it makes me very sad. 

But I know when the Lord returns it,

My mood will change to glad!

It is not the value of it,

That makes this lose so bad.

It’s what it represented,

That makes me feel so sad.

But now I have put my loss,

In my Savior’s hand.

I know that by my faith in Him,

His grace will be so grand!

And when this precious something,

Is returned to me!

The faith I put in Jesus,

Has made Him real to me!

“Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?  And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.  Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”  Luke 15:8-10
