“He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor
doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.” Psalm 15:3
Who is the one that pleases the
Father,
But the one that speaks kind of
another!
His lips are sealed never to spew,
A bad word toward someone other!
Who is the one that pleases the
Son,
But the one that does no evil!
His heart is fair he really does
care,
And in him there is no upheaval!
Who is the one that pleases the
Spirit,
But the one that doesn’t reproach his neighbor!
He is never there to
criticize or judge,
He uses love and never the
saber!
Why is it that we say we
are Christians and don’t follow what the Almighty says? It is easy to fault the one next to us. It is
even easy for us to condemn! Even though we know it is contrary to what the
Word of God teaches!
It is easy for us to
condemn but when we are caught in the midst of it, somehow we like to wiggle
out of it by making excuses. There is
never an excuse to ignore God’s Word. If
the LORD says don’t do it, He means don’t do it! I wish I had a nickel for every time I heard
someone say, “But”! But what?
“Therefore
all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to
them: for this is the law and the prophets.”
Matthew 7:12
