They Watch and Wait

“He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.”  Psalm 10:8

I used to watch an owl, which sat in high on a tree.

Every day that came, it would spy and see.

Was there an unsuspecting mouse in the field below!

Every time there was, away the owl would go.

He would sweep down below, from the top of the tree.

Down to get the mouse, that had no time to flee.   

There are owls you know, that are of humankind.

Watching every step, whether yours or mine.

They watch from secret places, our each and every move.

Hoping we will faint, and not be able to move. 

So my little mice keep a watchful eye.

Always be alert and watching toward the sky.

This same advice I give to you, my family that’s in Christ.

Keep your eyes on Jesus and never be enticed!
