Out of the Mouth of the Lion

“He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.”  Psalm 10:9

As the lion crouches down,

waiting for its prey,

so does the wicked one,

wanting you to slay. 

The lion lays a waiting,

planning out his mode.

The wicked one prepares his steps,

as you walk along your road.

He watches every move you make

then his time will come. 

He draws you into his net.

To where will you run?

Just as the wicked prepare the way for our destruction we too must prepare ourselves in advance against such peril.  The only way to escape the net of the wicked is by putting our trust in the One that has paved the road before us.

Jesus provides our safety

on the road built with His blood. 

Never a ditch to fall in

or any miry mud.

There never is a detour,

this road goes straight ahead.

Reaching toward the Savior,

for the living not the dead!  

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”  Jude 24-25
