I’d Rather be Right than Wrong

“For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.”  Psalm 11:7

It is not because we were righteous,
that the Father sent His Son.
We were just the opposite,
sinful and undone.

Oh what a price they both had to pay,
that we could be made righteous,
for this ‘They’ had to pay.

The Father turned His back
when the Son was on the cross!
The Son took our sin,
and He paid the horrible cost.

He rose from the dead,
and sent the Spirit on,
to bring a righteous bride,
that they could sing their song.

GOD doesn’t love us because we are righteous.  He loves righteousness.  He is righteous in its exact form.  Because of His desire to communicate with you and me, He made it possible through Jesus the Son.  Because of the Son’s love and obedience He now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for those the Holy Spirit has drawn and converted.

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”  2 Corinthians 5:21
