O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1 Corinthians 15;55
“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of
the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he
shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
Psalm 27:13-14
Thinking of the sorrow of the
past is overcome by the hope of the future we have in Christ. Each of us has the ability to be either sad
or happy, it is up to us and how we look at things. Dwelling on yesterdays sorrow doesn’t make
today better it only makes live more intolerable.
Today’s date will always have
an effect on my life and the lives of those close to me, but I refuse to allow
it to rob me of the hope I have in Christ, the power of His resurrection and
the removal of “deaths sting”!
The grace of God will always
overcome anything we are faced with, even the death of a loved one. David spoke well when he said of the death of
his son, “But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring
him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.”
I will stand on the wonderful and most excellent promises
of God and wait patiently for the hope I have in Christ, knowing the hope I
have outweighs any sorrow I am ever faced with.
“Even so, come, Lord Jesus”!!!
