Part of giving God all our heart, mind, soul and strength is allowing
Him to teach us through our everyday experiences. I believe God
reveals Himself in everything we are involved in, whether it is something great
or something small. Some of the lessons I have learned have come
through great tragedy and others from simple things. My children
have always been a great teaching tool the Lord has used. Many times He has
used them to illustrate something He is trying to teach me.
Our
openness with God is essential to our walk of faith. Think of what
we miss out on when we don’t give Him every aspect of our lives. Do
you suppose this was one of the things that made David “a man after God’s own heart”? If
we have truly given God all then we will permit Him to have every place of our
lives. Listen to Him; He is speaking to His children, everyday and
in every way. He is speaking through the things we are
surrounded by, through the things that are happening to us, right
now. He is here making Himself know to us, all we have to do is
listen!
Today I will open my heart even more to the Lord than I have in the
past; waiting for Him to teach me some important lesson He is trying to give
me. My prayer is that I will see Him in all that I do and I will not
allow myself to get in the way!!!
